Here are some pics of my brand new cold-air intake for my 1995 2.2L Cavalier made by Chris @ RD Fabs. I e-mailed him at the beginning of the year about wanting a true cold-air intake for the older 2.2L motors and this beauty is what he sent me.
Pardon the messy car and engine bay but I'm putting on a bunch of new parts as we speak. I plan on having a bunch of engine peices powdercoated after it comes out of the paint booth to liven it up.

Give
Chris Lannie at RD Fabs an e-mail. He's an awesome guy to deal with.

I just looked and the pricing is up there, $185 for the kit or else $230 for the kit with a K&N filter

Very Very Nice... I remember that night of standing around fitting up pieces in Geoff's car for you intake. You have to view the website in IE to view everything else. I can't get into the pics or prices with Firefox. Definitely awsome custom fabrication work. They are also where i got my CAI from. The quality succeeds that of those Corporation and Price is by far less... Eat that AEM or Injen!

and there's no love for us 2200's
Yea wut ever. AEM makes very nice CAI for the 2200.
yes but at a very unnice price. aem is way over priced. but the intake is perrtyful
New sig in the works
damn this place is just as expensive as aem. $230 with k&n filter. i don't usually mind spending the money on a good piece but its just a pipe with a filter.
New sig in the works
That looks nice any problems with hitting the bottom of the hood?

I haven't put my hood back on the car yet so I'm not sure. Chris told me that it shouldn't hit unless my RK Sport ram-air hood sits differently.

Aaron-
I'm glad you like the intake, man--we tried a new method of polishing on it and the results are AMAZING
Larry-
Cold air intakes are never cheap; it's a LOT of pipe, a LOT of polishing and more fabrication to make sure it fits perfectly. K&N filters are also quite pricey, so that shoots the cost up significantly. Last I know, AEM was well over 300.00, so our CAI (especially with the generic filter) should be more than reasonable. It's also constructed with stainless steel, unlike any our competition.
That is a very nice custom CAI man! Nice work!
I love it when people say "its just a pipe with a filter". I don't think anyone reaslizes how much work is put into polishing metal. The clamps alone on our intakes are $7ea. I am also a sales rep along with Chris (AgentOmega) at RDFabs, and may be partial to our intakes, but I honestly believe we have one of the nicest intakes on the market, and the pics prove it.
Thanks
Adam
