Well my new hood arrived and its good and bad
the top side looks excellent
but then the bottom side is notthe best could of been ALOT BETTER
i can see tape lines and what not also it appears to be fiberglass with a carbon weave over it
though they could of rolled alot of the edges of the hood
I'd say on a scale form 1-10 (without test fitting on car) i give the hood a 7 mainly because of the underside
See the top looks great should of cleaned it off some before the pics i did find 3 nicks in the hood
now here u can see some of the issues
I'll talk with JSP about this and see what they can do

Yeah really, check with JSP about that. On my OEM CF hood, the underside is very nice. I mean no matter what year hood you get, the quality should be great nonetheless.

I dont get how they could make the top look so fricken good, but the bottom looks like a playdo sculpture made by a 3 year old.
That top looks excellent though, I cant see any creases or anything! That is really weird.

that hole in the front next to the JSP sticker looks like it was cut out by a blind crack addict looking for his next fix. and the rest of the underside isn't very good either. good luck with it.
Wow, man, the top side looks great but that under side is UGLY. I have a JSP hood and it is just about as perfect as an after market hood can get. It does look good on the outside, but man, that is crazy underneath. Anyway, slap it on and show us what it looks like. Are you going with a darker rim and top?

It is a nice hood geeds. What about putting a nice liner under the hood to take the mess away if they dont do anything for you. Just a thought. Anything else done to the car over the winter months?

I think the overall quality is alright .....the underside is a little rough but you have to remember carbon fiber was never intended for shows....most hoods like from vis are just fiberglass hood with a carbon fiber vinyl and top coat.....at least you know its real carbon.....looks nice though
Hood looks really good and flowa so well on the car. Too bad about the underside of the hood and the fitment. Hope things will work out between you and the JSP.

The hood looks great, going to look really nice rolling down the road. The underside can be fixed with some work but hopfully you can get something worked out about the fitment issues.

Well I just got off the phone with Aaron and he said go ahead and send the hood back and they will make me another, though I have to wait 2 weeks, because of other orders. Which I don't mind since I want a good hood for shows.
