After a day of blood, sweat, and tears I have finally finished my 2.3 HO manifold install, I am EXTREMELY happy with the results, and overall it was an easy install. I used the exploited racing adapter flange and I am very pleased with it, it made my life much easier. Enjoy
Looks Great!!
Damn I want to do that.....

Kind of a dumb question here, but what does the 2.3 HO manifold do and replace? What the gains from it over stock parts that it replaced?
the manifold replaces a 4-into-1 design and I also installed the HO TB which is 56mm over the 52 mm stock TB. It shows a tremendous gain in the upper RPM range and pulls HARD! plus it sounds wicked
The throttle responce is much quicker with the new TB as well.
and a better question yet, how long did you have to wait for it?
looks good
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
it took me 2 weeks to get the flange and it was $80. Sorry to all of you that have waited so long but, I dont know why I got it so quickly.
i see an AutoZone flex tube intake
those are all fine and dandy if your gonna run them to the front inlet of a filter, but as far as using them as a actual intake pipe... it's going to 'cause a turbulant air flow.
i'd just invest in a Ebay air intake before i went with that.
but hey. it looks clean and not shabby.
...
Damn, you know I think I'll have to get one now. That looks good, and good to hear about the top end gains! Where did you get the 2.3 manifold and throttlebody? RSM?
got intake and TB off of eBay TB=$10
mani=$45.
The intake hose was the best I could do on short notice, I have an ebay intake but, it hits the battery so I will work on something permanent later, for now if we could get the intake to work we would have to bend up and then down because the throttle cable runs under it so we had to use something that would clear that and miss the battery. Good eye btw.
i have a eye for stupid pointless detail's sometime.
i was just hoping you werent using that as a perment solution.

Im like one step away from porting out my ho manifold, and i just saw that flange on exploited. How do you like, easy to install? and also does it cover up the EGR hole on the motor?

really easy to install and no it doesnt cover up the EGR, but, i don't have EGR so i dont care about that. all i had to do was get two 2.3L gaskets one on each side of the flange and there we go.
That looks sweet. I want one now in red too!

Good stuff.
I'd be interested to see how you set up the intake flange.
Did you have it welded? Or did you just get the longer bolts?
Also, what did you do for a gasket?
Good job on the intake.
Making wish I had more time to work on mine.
