Damn man i got mine baked and ceramic coated for only 35 bucks your paying more in sand paper and time then i would if i had ten done. as soon as i get a pic i will show you. its done in a Bonzie Blue.
You know why Honda has that H inside of that O that really means that there all just HOs got to love that chevy.

exactly, i dont know what i would do if i left something like that to someone else. i try to do as much possible myself, theres jus not any better feeling.

i second that...........1000->1500->2000->2500->..machine buff it (non orbital buffer the other kind)with some 3M rubbing compound and then take the mothers to it by hand and it'll look daym near chrome

Troof. But I do it all by hand. I might look into getting a buffer soon tho. Some stuff isn't becoming as polished as others.
What do you plan on polishing next? You can't just stop at the valve cover ya know....

what grit do you start at?
there was alot of @!#$ on mine so i started really really low, lower than 80
