Finally got my Tokico D Specs in today from my distributer... I have been holding of on shock for along time waiting for these babies.. I plan on using them more for Drag racing to control weight transfer than I do anything else, but I may try my hand at autocrossing if I get a chance. The Tokicos are 16 way adjustable via a control knob that screws into a hollow shaft withen the piston. I should have them on withen a couple weeks... I'll throw in a review in the suspension forum when I get a chance.
I also picked up a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tires... I had seen that they were the highest rated max performance tires on Tirerack.com, even over the P Zeros and a few competition only tires..... I had come across a set for half price, so I picked em up... Check out my site for pics and other info on my winter mods + many other pics and info....
My poor car.... I'm busy fiberglassing the new front bumper, so on the rare occasion she leaves the garage, she leaves noseless...

I was hoping you wouldnt' dissapoint
I've been looking around, but cant really find this. I'm assuming the answer is yes, but these are fine for every day driving right? You keep saying you're getting them for drag racing, just wondering.
Waiting for a positive review

glad to hear you finally got the suspension you wanted, man! and whats this about a custom front bumper? lets see pics of that!
bounciko's.. def write up how u like them cuz ive never heard one good thing from them
Tokico supplies the buyer with a handy lil manual on how to tune the shocks... When the adjuster is turned completely to the right, the shocks are on the hardest setting. Softest setting is 7 1/2 turns counter clockwise. Tokico suggest you set them at 5 counter clockwise turns from full hard for street use and for a front wheel drive car full hard all the way around is suggested for Drag racing....
So, yes... The D Specs are made for everything but off roading...

The bumper isn't custom... I picked up a 95-99 Bomex bumper for $60 so I am just modifying it for the 00-up headlamps.....
What kind of coils or springs are you going with on those? Or do they already come with them?
I've had Eibach Sportlines for a while now.. I think I'll keep them unless Tokico sponsors me when they release the springs..lol

Looks awsome, please do a review. But let me get this straight... You got rid of the beautiful Type J front and got a bomex front instead???
The Type J front is just too boring for my taste and the Bomex front actually looks pretty good w/ the rest of the Type J kit.... I was constanly correcting the sagging on the Type J and paint started to flake off the urethane... Got sick of messing with it...

your gonna be dissapointed in how that front will look
im sorry you picked it I think the type J front is a very classy front end but I dont know anything
I agree the Type J front end looks alot better than the Bomex especially on a 2000+
arent those tires run-flats? i wanted them, but i was told they would be illegal without a tire pressure monitor, since they are run flats.
I like the Type-J better, but i'll have to wait til I see the new look to decide...i'm sure it'll look good.
