Very nice I like it a lot. Creative.
Pedals and steering wheel cover kill everything.

Thanks. what's an orange peel? The boot question, that bracket is actually the original boot bracket. I decided to use it like that.

Orange peel is the paint technique they use at maaco.

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
how did you get your dash to that texture?
wet sanding?

Nope. Just good old arm and patience.

It takes a hell of a lot of sanding to get a nice finish like that. Good for you! I should go back and do a touch up on my bezel, as its been over a year and i haven't given it a buff in a while.
Ditch that cover and pedals for sure!
i bet but it looks hella nice

In time, i will. I need to follow my original design. i need to sound-proof the cabin, re carpeting, new seats and upholstering...then, i'll deal with the steering wheel and pedals. I am a musician...so need the best possible acoustics for my music; however, the cavi was designed for a whole different purpose and i want my mods to have little impact on the stock appearance. Also, I was thinking of putting a corvette wheel in there..but i need to do my research first to see if that would be a go.
