Possible window rail rattle???

So I did a fairly thorough search but no specific results. I have a 2005 cavalier coupe. Recently I replaced all factory speakers with some aftermarkets. Nothing special. But I did upgrade the fronts to 6.5s. Obviously these pack a little (and I do mean little) more power, so I noticed some new rattles that I didn't have from before. So I did what everyone else has done. Found the rattles and eliminated them. The passenger side sounds awesome now, no rattles whatsoever, even with the bass settings all the way up. I used the same techniques on the driver side door, and eliminated all rattles but one. I will give as much detail as possible with this. At first i though it was the metal handle that the door trim handle screws into. The rivets where a little loose, and I shimmed them until they were nice and tight. Next I though the door lock mechanisms, insulated those, and no luck. So I did some testing. The rattle increases depending on where my window sits. I have manual windows, and the hardest hitting sound of the rattle comes from what seems like the rail that supports the window. I tightened everything I could get a socket onto, and still no luck. So the only thing I can think of is that it's the window mechanism, but I don't know enough about it how they work to find a viable solution. Is anything in there adjustable? Or is it all just rivets and such. Sorry for the novel, but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible. Thanks for any help offered in advance.

since the only thing you did different is the size of the speaker you may be hitting the edge of the speaker on the door metal- try leaving your music on, and while you hear the rattle with the door panel off, slowly take the speaker out and see if it stops.... if it doesnt then put it back in and put your ear to the door and close in on the rattle... move your head around til u find the noise...

really appreciate the response. drove me to go back out to my car to check that test. the speaker wasnt hitting the door metal, but i was a little more tedious with my rattle location, and realized it improved a little with the window 2 inches down from all that way up. now with my luck i finally found that the aft vertical window guide rail on the driver side door is broken....right around mid-height.maybe an inch below where the top of the door panel rests... so, now this opens up another question. how do i go about repairing or replacing this item. fairly easy item to locate out side of a "you pull it" yard? because that luxury is pretty scarce where i'm currently located. also any instructions to help ease me from having to figure it out on my own would also be of great help. thanks for any input.

I have the same @!#$ issue. Drives me nuts.

Please let me know if anything comes up..

One question though: the plastec on the door that covers the speakers, did u cut them out or are the speakers nudging against it?

I know that they can be the ones rattling.
