how to kock back seat into position??

Hi everyone,

I am having a small problem with my back seat. Upholstery was changed to black leather some weeks ago but I noticed that the seat currently does not lock into place (not the part over which u seat, but the one where your back reclines) so when I pass over a bump the seat moves a little bit forward and then back, this noice becomes annoying... I have tried to put it back in position but it does not seem to "click". I pull the latch down to open the mechanism and the push it back and release the latch but it does not work...

Any tips of how can I put the back seat ino the correct position so it stays still????

Thanks!

All you should have to do is push it shut or slam it till it locks. Unless the locking mechanism is sticking open, or something is causing it not to close all the way.

Like said the mechanism could be jammed or did they simply wrap the new material over the old? If that then maybe there is too much material that won't allow the latch to connect with the mechanism.

The back seat was not correctly inserted into position on the sides. It was a pain in the as.. to puti it back into position by myself (2 persons needed) but now it locks great!

Thanks everyone
