Young passengers in front seat
Sunday, November 30, 2008 11:43 PM
Hey guys. I just bought a 98 sunfire as my daily driver. I drive my 7 year old son to and from school, friends, etc and am kinda upset that he (legally and i guess safely) needs to ride in the back seat where there are no airbags.

My question is would it be possible to disconnect - safely - the passenger airbag so he can ride up front with me?

Any ideas? Opinions?

yes, however you are still going to get a ticket for it if pulled over, as an officer wont believe that you disconnected the air bags for his safety. I would honeslty just keep him in the back seat.

I talked with my insurance company today and they said if it was in an accident enough for the airbags to deploy and someone in the pass seat i'd be in big trouble. Im keepin him in the back.
