How to re-apply door's fabric panel?
Wednesday, November 05, 2008 2:07 PM
I had to replace my door panel so I went to the junkyard and bought one, however the fabric isn't the same color so I have to swap them. I removed the old one but I had to break the plastic welds that hold the little change cup/door handle piece on because the fabric panel goes under that. Any ideas on how I can go about properly reapplying the fabric panel on the new door panel?

i just lined mine up and tapped them down and they havent moved yet (been like a year). i lined them up by useing the lttle bit of plastic that wasd left over by tearing them off and then just used duct tape to hold them in place.

I tried a little bit of hot glue but the fabric panel is a little warped, granted I was using a mini-hot glue gun. But regardless I can't have 2 different kinds of fabric so I'm gonna have to eventually try it again, next time I'll have to break out the big gun, literally.
