Will Pontiac g6 seats fit in my 2000 Sunfire 2dr? Ive seen the seats in the g6 and really like them

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
where could i get some custom brackets...and btw i appreciate the help
you make them, thats why there are called custom
I will take a pic of the Floor of a G6 tomorrow at Work, then post what the mounts look like.
Def different from a J Body in EVERY WAY, BUT it can be done.
as long as the seats arent wider than what can fit (obviously) then i dont see why it wouldnt work.
In this situation, knowing how to weld = priceless!
Anyone know of some bigger aftermarket racing seats. I need something that is wide and sits closer to the floor. Just picture trying to fit the wrestler Bigshow in a Sunfire. I already ripped out the front seat and tried sitting in the back, but that's a little to far.
i appreciate all the info guys. i really like the G6 seats and i might hav to try to put them in my sunfire
i wouldnt suggest G6 seats.... if your going to have to be making brackets... too much work and they are not comfortable at all.. they feel like there made with cardboard....
just my opinion.
have you sat in them yet or is it still just an idea cause i drive them almost everyday and not impressed feels cheap (not to offend anyone who has one)
G8 on the other hand... are much nicer.. exspensive too i assume

i hav sat in them. i liked them...much better than my seats. plus i think they look good. and its just an idea this point...looking at my options
old post, but some info never hurts.
i have the G6 front seats in my car.
the rears looked like there was not way they would fit so i didnt even bother trying them.
the fronts are a snug fit but they do work, and look great...
the good: if you just weld a brace underneath them and drill some holes you can retrofit them to your stock sliders.
the bad: if you do this they are going to sit about 2 inches higher than before.
if youre short this is no problem, but im 6 fooot and i feel cramped in there. the g6 seats/sliders more or less sit right on the floor of the car originally so some further work needs to be done to get them to the right level.
i have before/after pics somewhere either on here, deserttuners.com, azjbo.com, or maybe still on my camera.
either way ill post them sooner or later.
good luck and i hope you can weld to anyone who attempts the swap.
Eat my shift
heres some pics with them in;
door panels still to be rewrapped cuz im lazy. oh well. haha

never seen the g6 seats before, kind styled like the Redline Recaro seats, but probably don't "sit" like a Recaro seat. Look good though over the stock seats IMO.
Try looking up VW GTI seats. over the last 15 years there has been EXCELLENT seats to be in GTI's.
They're also made by recaro and relatively easy to find.
Also, I would like to suggest Civic Si Hatchback (back from around 2005ish) seats.
Excellent bolsters, great fabric and stitching, and extremely comfortable.
check them out.
the gti seats are really nice, a buddy of mine has them in his gli. deff holds your ass in there pretty well lol

time to go seat shopping...MIKE JUNK YARD LETS GO!!!!
