I searched but nothing fits what is happening. Okay, so I am on my way to school and I roll my windows down and roll them up when I get there. 8 hrs later I leave and they don't work. It rained today but its rained before. The weird thing is, is that when I push the button/switch the switch lights up while I press it but then turns off when I stop pressing it
. Also, when I turn on the exterior headlights the switch doesn't light up nor does it light up when I press it.
What could it be? Please help.
Sounds like it could be the switch. Try taking out the switch and using some contact cleaner inside it or even flushing it with alcohol.

do you hear any noise? do BOTH windows not work?

There is no noise.
I did however have an extra switch and it did the same thing. I forgot to mention that I did the auto up and down with the ford relays. Could it be the circuit breaker?
it could be lots of things if you did that conversion, like any of the relays, etc.
sounds like you have some testing to do....
I always like to test the motor itself in the door before doing to much else.
Well, yesterday I went to Oreliy, NAPA and such to see if they knew what happened and they tested the circuit breaker = good, fuse = good, motors = good. Still nothing so I gave up for the day. It rained last night and in the morning everything works but everything is the same as it was I did not change anything. Its
but it works now.
I have a very similar problem. Sometimes my windows work fine and then when I go to roll them up, they stop completly and won't do anything. So far, if I wait a lil' while, I can press the switch and they roll up. Hope you find the problem, I gave up on mine a long time ago.
Okay this is really starting to p!$& me off
. After all this time it has happened again everything is, when tested, fine. Has anyone figured out what and why this happens? Could it just be the car having an attitude? I just did the brakes the car should be happy but no instead I get this.
