sticky dash

i painted my dash with plastic and vinal paint but is sticky. i am going to redo it but this time i though about painting the entire dash with 3 or 4 coats of fiberglass resin and hardner then spraying it with the same paint and clear as the outside of my car..
will this work or will it just crack on the plastic and vinal pieces?

for example, the dash top, is vinal. you will have to remove the vinal and actually fiberglass the dash top. the all plastic parts, such as the bezel, should be just sand and paint. if everything is "sticky" you did something wrong.

the only pieces that are sticky are the vinal ones

if you add fiberglass to the top dash without removing the vynal coating, the dash wont fit back on. if you remove the vynal coating on it, you have to make sure you add enough fiberglass back on to account for that thickness so it fits back in properly. i highly suggest you dont fiberglass the dash if you have no experience.
