Rewire
Sunday, September 28, 2008 6:45 PM
I have a 96 z24 and I have swapped out the body wiring harness for an 01. The plug that hooks into the door chimer or door dimer is a different plug. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if they knew how to rewire them up?

Thanks in advance....

um.......... use the old button thing. keep about five inches of wire on there, or at least enough to work with. strip off the ends. do the same to the new plug on the new harness. open the door, pop the key to ignition and connect the wires. nothing? connect them to the other wires. all that button does is complete a circuit. take it out, man. its just an annoying noise. its only there to tell you your lights are on, or your keys are still in or something. and it ussually only tells you when you KNOW those things. idk man, i just bent the one in my car over, since i dont have dome lights and i cant stand that dinger

Get all the parts you need in a pile, and drive the car into it.
They will find their way into the correct places.
