Yup it is pretty hard to put LEDs into the 00+ Sunfire cluster without causing severe damage to the cluster. If you talk to Alex at Blackcatcustom he will most likely direct you towards getting a 00+ Cavalier cluster if you really want the LED conversion as it seems to be a little easier to do it with those clusters.

So you are saying the gauges between a cav and a Sunfire are the same? I really haven't paid much attention to the cav's..

Ok I checked out the Cavalier clusters and Sunfire ones. I really love the blue led one but only one problem.... They are all 140mph Conversions??? I only have the standard 110mph cluster now. I assume there is other stuff I would have to do in order to get an accurate guage???? Thanks so much for the help!!

The 140mph cluster is completely plug and play. I have one and i love it. To me its definately worth the money. All it is, is a factory Canadain 220km(140mph) cluster with whatever overlay that he can make. The only thing that requires reprogramming is how the odometer reads the signal from the Body Control Module(BCM), but Alex takes care of that.

Contact Alex, he should be able to do almost anything you want. He did do some nice custom clusters for a bunch of us.

I have a 140mph gauge from Alex. It is basically a re-calibrated Canadian cluster. Don't ask me why, but for what ever reason the CDN clusters go up to 220kph/140mph even though the governor on all of our cars is set at 108 +/- There is nothing special required to do other than just plug one of these clusters right in.

If you don't want a "140" cluster give Alex a call or shoot him an email. I am sure he can pick up a US cluster for you if you really want it. If not maybe you can set something up to send a cluster you pick up from the junkyard or something to have converted.

I just read about them and yea I see they are recalibrated and all. I was like "they look different case my gas gauge wasn't in the same position". But that doesn't matter I assume cause of the programming all guages would work the same? I plan just to buy the whole cluster set. Thanks for the help!
