How can I fix my cigarette lighter ? And by that I mean make it work again. Awhile back I wired my LED's into it via a switch using that source, now i ripped em all out and hooked the proper wires back up to the lighter itself and it doesn't work, however if anything metal goes near it u get a shock/spark ... I'd like to make use of my 12v source for the obvious cell phone charger etc but right now its half dead and half alive ... lol

you might have to run new wire or solder it back in

Mine was grounding itself out. i had to bend the "tabs" on the ring. After I did that it worked no problem.

I did the same thing with my radar, and now I have to push the darn lighter in twice just to get it hot enough to light a cig off of it... I would also suggest new wires and solering them together...
