show me your modified rear seats

i just bought a 96 5spd base model and im gonna start with the interior im gonna glass the center console and the guage bezel... i just need some advice as to wat i should do with the ugly bench seat in the back.... i want to do a single seat but it looks rough....

help me out guys i need it

theres already a few posts about this. some have put custom sub boxes, some have put bucket seats, some fabricate their own, etc.

see, a rear seat area cage (in, not pictured) is 1261471 times better than any other things you might put back there.
safety > seats
vehical stiffness increase > subs

Out of an '04 (or '06 I dont remember) GTO.

In these shots its just sitting in there for fitment testing. I have since fixed them to the body, I just need to get longer belts (I think that using the front belt from the pass side of a 3rd gen J car will work, since they need to stick up on their own -- just the female ends)

cool cool let me know how that goes. Im in the process of thinking of making a custom box back there for my subs and my amp but I havent decided on it yet.

just tossing around ideas for now.. i thought it would be really sweet to have a pocket in it to hold my air ride controller

right now its just a 98 base 5spd untouched..

lol ive got alot of work but it is a car with no mods on it.. yay

I think the blue looks awesome cause it matches the blue paint. At least thats what it looks like

well the bottom seat clips need to cut a lil bit so the clips themselves can b set narrower than how the cobalt attaches. as for the back the 60/40 split is opposite to the 03-05 cav 60/40 split. so the rear seat bar needs to b modified to reverse the spilt. as for it actually latching i just took the latches out because its way off. the cobalts latch in the middle of the seat not like the cav. i just use the seatbelts to hold it up
