Hate to ask it cause i've been on the org for over 8 years. But i just bought a 97 Z for a winter beater and and the center console only has 1 cup holder at the front. Now my friend just scraped his brothers 2000 4 door cav and she has the 2 cup holders at the front, and i'd like to have that one swapped into mine. So the question is will the 4 door center console bolt right into the 97 Z ???

yes it will. you will need the bracket at the front of the console also, i believe.

Thanks for the info....took a quick look at the console in the 97 I am taking out and replacing with the 2000, and I found the 2 screws in the arm rest at the bottom. But where at the front of the console are the screws located?
I am just use to my Sunfire after 9 years and working with a Z24 now in diffrent. Thanks again ppl

on the 00 plus one there is the 2 bolts at the bottom of the arm rest, one is under the (power window switch or the cup thinger if u don't have power windows) and the last one is in front of the 2 cup holder under a small cover u pop off....you'll see it
Thanks Gary but the console I am trying to get out is in a 97 with no power windows.

ooo k lol, well then,u pop out the console under the arm rest and there's the 2 under that, then at the front under the rubber cup holder insert there's another one.....and the last one is somewhere under the shift boot/e brake, its been a while since i've taken one part lol
Ok yeah I removed the screws/bolts at the bottom of the armrest and thats all I found. Yes I know there's gotta be some other screw or bolt somewhere. Plus I removed the rubber cup thingy in the cup holder and it's just solid underneath that. So.....i dunno......:/

look in the holder thats under your ash tray/ under the cd player and theres a little plastic circle pop that off and theres a screw take it out and thats all. Theres only three holding it together. the two in the arm rest area and then one in the map holder in front of the drink holder
In my 1997 Base Model Auto, no power options -- Here's where the four bolts are:
Under a plastic cover, in the storage bin in front of the cup holder.
Under the shifter bezel, which itself just pops off with some persuasion.
In the bottom of the armrest storage.
