How do you remove...

1. The plastic piece seatbelt guide on the top rear back rest on each corner (2)?

2. The e-z entry knob located on the back of the front seats on the 2-door model?

I would check myself, but I'm affraid to break something and so I wanted to get some expert opinions on this.

funy cuz i wanna ditch mine as well . i know with the 1 gen Escorts you had to baicly undress the seat and then there were 2 metal clips that held the headrest from coming out all the way , when you moved them the rest would pop out completely

That's pretty much the same as a Cavy/Fire. But you just tug at the fabric right in front of the headrest bars and you can see them. Use some kind of angled pick to pry the pins out. Then remove the plastic nuts holding them to the headrests.

If it can't drag, it ain't low enough!

the knob to flip the seat forward is not a fun thing to remove.....

when my car was still under warranty, something broke inside the seat back, they had to send it to a re-upholstery shop.......the re-upholstery shop just broke it off, and glued it back on. I never got it properly fixed....the dealer refused to do any more for it.

I have the knob in my cup holder, I will try to throw a pic of it up so you can see if there is a way to properly remove it.

mr goodwench: they just pop out. buthtere's a hole left in the shape of the mount (you can see the shape of it in the molding, its fairly ovaloid.) as for the thing on the back of the front seats: i had no idea thats what they were for. if i want my seats to tilt forward, i just push them.

It's a Sunfire, 2002 m/y. I don't remember if my 1996 Sunfire had it too.

Are these piece held up by pressure? Like snapped on?

there's a white plactic donut on the other side of the fabric. looks like the belt strap, but it doesnt have the hook, and it has a hole in the middle.

look who FINALLY remembered to upload pics.

As you can see, the knob has a hole that faces the inside of the passenger compartment that a small set screw (i am guessing) goes through that and the matching hole on the lever bracket.
