Custom Seat Covers, any DIY members here make them?
Thursday, August 28, 2008 11:29 PM
I have a set of bucket seats from a 99' Sunfire, I have the vinyl material that I want them made out of (color specific) and i'm on a budget, was wondering if there was a reputable person who does these?

Thank you.

are you looking just to have covers made??

or you want the seats actually re-upholstered with the vinyl you have??

I dont see any reason on removing the original material, nice tight seat covers would work out great for what i'm after, as long as they cover up the backside also.

budget and re-upholstering seats usually dont work out. i'd check around your local shops and see what they charge.

If you were closer, I'd do it. Not sure if freight to get them here and back would be worth it though.
I've done J-body seats in vinyl for another member before, and got some good feedback on it.

Check out the profile pic. That's the only pic I know of that has the reupholstered factory seats, but the back was done to match as well.
Somewhere on my old hard drive are better pictures, but I'm too lazy to go searching it right now.
