does anyone know how to change the bulb on 03+ sunfires that is located to the left of the shifter?

I would say that you will have to pull out the entire center console. The look on the left side of the shifter and you should see a bulb somewhere. It going to be either a 194 or 74 bulb. I think someone else had a thread about changing the same bulb on a different year model, but it should be very close.
pull the console up enough to get your fingers under it and youll see a wire twist the plastic piece and the bulb pulls down its a 194
do 01's have this? mine has never lit up...

take off the center console... clean everything up just for the hell of it... especially if your selling it... I have the same set up... to do the job right take it out... there is something like 4 bolts... 1 under the stereo area, 1 under the change bucket, and 2 in the arm rest... good luck...
i posted pics of it taken apart in another thread, search dammit.
They sell different colors at autozone, I got a blue one. Mine never light up either so I pulled it apart and sure enough it was burnt out so I replaced it with a colored one.
