Trashed Interior
Thursday, August 21, 2008 3:28 PM
So I bought a 98 Cavalier Z24 for my girl. Well I broke up with her, and needless to say she was a damn slob. So the interior is pretty much trashed. Stains everywhere, spilled fast food cups all over the carpet. My question is, should I just replace the carpet, or is there a way to salvage it. I will get some pics up a little later.

Thanks,
Trevor

i'd clean all the garbage out, and dump it in her bed.

I had some stains on the carpet and seats of my car from the previous owner. I just vacuumed it out, then went and bought some Turtle Wax Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Needles to say after 3 hours the interior of the car looks and smells brand new.

I'd like to just dump her in a landfill after looking at the car. Seems she would be right at home there.
I am going to dive into it this weekend. It is BAAAAAAD! But hopefully I can get most everything out, and get it back to smelling like a car and not a dumpster at Taco Bell.

But on good note, I now have the car and am considering the options as far as fixing it up and having a little fun with it. I know they have potential. So any insight, or direction as far as where I can pick up some good stuff would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Trevor

what a retard, how hard is it to hold onto a drink? They fit perfectly in the cup holders... thats what they're for...
You can try shampooing the carpet with just water, detergent, and a lot of effort lol. They make some all purpose cleaners that you can spray on it to help get the really bad ones too. I had to clean up an entire pot of coffee that was spilled in a van... and sat there for a LONG time too.

a cheap way is to take some laundry detergent, add a bit of that oxi clean stuff for getting stains out and use a lot of elbow grease . . . mind you i have a graphite interior so stains that i get kinda blend into the carpet

and a big note to self . . . dont buy a car for a girl until your married! lol

Whats up people?

theres actually a friggin awesome stain remover called spot shot. get the spray bottle. i kid you not, bro. the first time i used this stuff i almost @!#$ a brick--- you spray it on a stain, go to get a rag, come back and the stain's gone. it may take a couple times and a bit of scrub-scrub for some tougher stains, but overall this stuff works miracles!
