I am pretty sure about this but I want to make certain. If I done the full engine swap from a 01 2.4 to a 99 2200. I just swap the gauges and it should read what mileage was on the 2.4 previously? All the information is stored on the BCM?
Also if I use the 01 2.4 engine harness in another vehicle it would work with if I had the entire body harness from an 02 2200?

Why would you go from a 2.4L to a 2200??
And 99-01 wiring is totally different.

That is what this guy was wanting. He said he is tired of the 2.4 and how hard it is to work on. I had a 99 2200 I offered him for just his transmission. But he is giving me the entire engine trans and ECM. We are waiting to get out to a junkyard to get the trans mount on the body. Along with several other small things. From my understanding the Engine harness should bolt in and work with everything else? I may be wrong that is why I asked. What is so different about the wiring?
On a side note I have a 96 Z. My Isuzu trans had problems and I plan to ditch it for the F23 Getrag From the above 01 Z. While I was at it I thought about swapping to the 01 Engine Computer. I realize that my body harness will not work at all. Totally different. But I have a complete body harness from a 02 2200. that I planned to use. That would be compatible right. I am aware of the EVap and all that.
