alright so im dismantling my dash so it can be painted its a 2003 cavalier. I am just wondering how do i get the tilt for the steering wheel off and turning signals etc.. any help would be greatly appriated
the tilt lever is threaded in.....well
the headlight and wiper switches...remove the top part of the column cover and there are some (i believe) 7mm screws holding those on
yea i was looking around and kinda figured that about the headlight and wiper switch. but the tilt lever seems to be cross threaded or something doesnt want to turn
you're gonna have to use pliers to twist it off, and you'll probably mark it up, it's impossible to avoid. Just wrap it in electrical tape after.
my tilt lever was glued in, i wrapped a shop wrag around it and took the vice grips to it, took some force but it came off without a scratch

thats the smart way to do it. if your worried about scratching it up, wrap it in something then twist it off.
