sorry i didnt really know wich category to post this in.. but my trunk release (the plastic part) broke off. I had a buddy that had the same problem with his cav. is this a common thing for cavs? and how is an easy way to fix it? i tried to super glue it back together and it worked for a while but soon after it broke again.

the black plastic thing that releases your trunk when you turn the key.. or pull the "trunk popper" by the front seat.

thats going to be a dealer item only....unless they are more universal than i thought, and perhaps the "HELP" section at your local parts store may have something, but I doubt it. I would call GM.

don't worry. my trunk latch broke completley in half, i have had it taped back together for about 2 years and haven't had a problem. If you really don't want to buy a new one, try some jb weld, should fix it.
