hey.. i just bought my 98 cav a couple months ago n i just got my license n have found out that my gauge cluster and climate control lights dont light up... so i checked the fuses and sure enough the fuse was blown (10A INT LAMP). so i got another fuse and turned the lights on (car is off). then i went to go for a drive, so i started my car and then i turned my lights on and they turned on for about a second and then faded out. turns out the fuse was blown(i tried another on too) any ideas? is it shorting out somewhere or something? thx

nobody has anything? can it be caused by a deck being improperly installed? i got a guy i know to put in my deck and he hard wired it, so could it be a mistake on his part?

Hard wiring won't cause it...improperly hard wiring will.
