i think 2000+ cavaliers or sunfires you can't remove the needles or it will screw up the cluster

95-99 gauges, you can take the needles off. 2000+ don't take them off.

to install them, you have to take apart your dash. take the gauges out, and take the clear plastic cover off. slide the gauges over the needles into place. wire it up, and put everything back together.

its not that hard at all. its a power wire and a ground wire. theres no need to pull the needles off at all. its simple enough to slide it over everything.

I pulled my needles on my 01....no problem. I wasn't installing the kind that can slide over the needle though...I HAD to pull them, or f' with the overlay to make them slide over...

I wired my power to the power on my pillar gauges. pretty much just wire it to anything that is giving power neons, system wire, pillar gauges, etc or you can wire it straight to your headlight switch for them to come on right when you turn your headlights on but thats another story. another thing nobody told me this but before you put the gauges on theres a protective cover on it pull it off its basically a sticker. If you dont take it over months down the road you will start to see cracks in your gauges so you'll have to take the gauges out an take the cover off which i dont recommend because it leaves glue on the gauge face which is hard to get off and your needles will stick. so you would have to buy another one. Make sure to take off that cover or you will have problems.

I left mine on and about four months down the road it started to bubble like a bitch so i took the cover off put everything back together. Then my needles stuck they wouldn't move whatsoever. it was during winter so I would have to way for my car to warm up in the interior then they would start to fix theirselves i remember one day my gas tank said it had like a quarter left when my car warmed up i was on empty just hit check gauges so i hit that pretty damn close.

No Sig at this time.

thanks bro, i was thinking about wiring it straight to my headlight wire...do you know what color the head light wire is? and do you have to take the whole dashboard off to install? got any recommendations on where i should wire my ground at? where did you wire yours?

i just wired my ground to the to the frame of my car or to the ground going from my ext neons. If you dont want to go through so much work I have seen people do it a ghettofied and easy way they would take the wire and wire it to the stereo fuse or ignition fuse so that when you turn your car on your gauges can then be turned on. I seen one person hook up a toggle switch to it and hook it to the ignition fuse, so that everytime you start your car the gauges will come on. It seems to work for them I personally think its a lazy way and could possibly blow the fuse but maybe not. idk I havent done it so yeah.

awesome thanks guys, i am probably either hook it up to the brown headlight wire and ground it to the metal bar right next to it or if that doesn't work for some reason i will just hook it straight up to my cd player!

You can splice it into the wire coming out of the dimmer switch, too, which is easy, since you'll already have the face of the dash off. IIRC, it's the brown wire that you're talking about from the column, just easier to get to. I just put a multimeter onto the wires coming out of the dimmer and found the one that had power when the parking lights and headlights went on.
