Hello,
I used to be a smoker, quit, and now I am trying to clean my windows in the car (terrible tar buildup). I have now cleaned my windows 4 times with 2 different types of glass cleaner, and 4 different types of cloths, and I can't seem to get the last bit of residue off of the windows. The outside cleans fine, but the inside still streaks. Any detailers out there have tips for me??? The back window is the worst, and its horrible up in the dot matrix
Also, how am I supposed to clean the last inch of the back window near the back dash??? My fat hands can't get in there, and I tried various small objects but nothing gets enough pressure to scrub it good.
soap and water.
take an empty spray bottle and fill it with dish soap and water. Spray the window down and use a razor blade like a squigy. You can do that all over the inside of all the windows except the rear, razor blade will kill the defroster, on the rear take a rough towel and kinda scrub at it with the soap and water sprayed on there. once its clean go over it with "Invisable Glass" and microfiber and your windows will be clean again.
As for th rear, pull he rear deck panel out, takes literally 5 minuets to remove.
^^^All good advice. I also use foaming glass cleaner with amonia in it....that will eat anything off.
after the invisible glass, go over it with some wax. will make the windows more beautiful then ever.
Riddle me this... riddle me that...
With ammonia be careful if you have tinted windows. What happens with that is the tint fogs up with that chemical.
