Momo Hub install help
Tuesday, April 22, 2008 6:38 PM
Having some issues with the 2401 Momo hub.
I had a rough time getting the stock wheel off, had to use a wheel puller it was so snug.

Now the Momo hole does not line up for the factory horn stem to be reinstalled and the hub does not go onto the spline. What am I doing wrong? Do they have to be pounded on?

yea whenever you take a steering wheel off you gotta use a wheel puller, did you lock your steering wheel before pulling the steering wheel off? I dont know much about momo i would just compare stock to aftermarket and see why its not going on or contact momo or wherever you bought it. Good luck very nice interior i wish i could do that i just dont trust myself 100% and am afraid ill mess it up

So it is normal for them to be this snug? Hopefully I can get the momo started and crank it on with the center nut then. But the hole does not line up for the horn's stem. Ideas from anyone?

I didnt have an issue installing the hub at all... 97 Cav.

The hole for my horn wire lined up fine. I was just playing with it this weekend....

Maybe you could just drill a new hole???

Got pictures? as far as the hub being snug, thats how its supposed to be. As far as the horn concerns it should work fine.

I'll see if I can get some pictures today when I go rip apart the bubbamobile if I get lucky...

Okay. That's what I was concerned about before I mark it up and can't return it.

Since the clockspring is gone, I will have space behind the hub now right? So I can maybe trim the white plastic collar on the horn wires to make it still functional?
Thanks guys.

It's all good.
It went on fine and everything lines up. Just being overly cautious since I've never installed one.
Thanks.

How did you guys route your wires for the red buttons on the wheel?
