I made a Topic similar but can't seem to edit it and really need some help A.S.A.P

I have hit a brick wall with this one

How do you remove this Black Knob that lets the seat flip forward

Can only get the Seat Material so far

There’s a Bolt there but I'm not sure if that’s to do with the Black Knob to let me remove it. I know there’s two I have to remove to get the hole Recliner out on the top end but is one attached to the knob.

If you have link to how’s it done with a write up please post it, I’m going to snap it off

also I wanted to ask

Will A Seat Recliner from a 4 Door cavy Work with a 2 Door Cavy

I have a Recliner from a 4 Door and see It doesn't have that little Black Knob on it that you push up to let the seat forward like on the 2 door ones

I wanted to know is that Knob just attached to the recliner via a bolt that I can make work with my 2 door car or is it welded on

What I'm trying to ask is there a seat recliner made for the 4 Door cavys and one for the 2 Door cavys

One word: pull.

Use pliers tho.. there's a slight edge on the metal it attaches to, and it'll tear up your finger real quick if you do it by hand (trust me on this one!)

Where is this edge, I tried a pick already as I thought it was those clips that bend in

So I can't re-use those black knobs then

could you point to where I have to use the pliers

also do you know about the recliners, are there different ones IE 2 door-4 door ones

Does that arm that holds the black Knob on is it just a 10mm bolt that attaches to the Bracket so I can swap it on my 4 door one I got

It's inside, you can't see it til it's off. Or at least, I've had no luck and I've disassembled probably 20+ seats over the years, some just taking apart, others for installing leather seat covers. If you're easy on them, you can re-use them... I've had about a 50% success rate. I usually grab extras when I'm at the wrecking yard.

The seat hinge is different between a 2 door and a 4 door seat. The 4 doors don't fold forward.

Damn so I can't just re-use the bracket with the knob on it from the 2 door one and put it on my 4 door one for the seat to flip forward. Was so simple of a plan, thought they were all the same and GM just had put that on the 2 door one but really was a 4 door hinge

It was the only one I found that didn't click 2 times back when it was upright, DAMMMMMMMMN

and the dealer wants $163 haha

If you don't understand what I mean I can get pictures together etc and re-type it to explain what I was trying to say and do
