Hey Phil,
The Momo 2401 really won't fit our cars (mine's an 03 Cavi). I'm kinda in the same boat you are. The steering column shafts changed for the 03 model year. My understanding is that you would need to change either the upper shaft (tilt steering) or the whole steering column (easier, but more$$) from a 95 to 02 to use the Momo hub. I plan on making the swap and also adding a low profile quick release. It's more work and money than I was planning on, but I haven't found any alternatives.
I have an '03 fire and the momo hub fit my car?
got it from carsNeffects.com bout 3 years ago....
There was a whole thread on the momo hub before. I believe the verdict was that GM changed the steering column/shaft in 2003. So the early 2003 models have the older style and the later models had the newer style.
El Guapo - see if you can find out your fire's build date. Im betting its a early model.
build date is in the reg.
11/18/02
so yeah you could be right.
guess I lucked out?
if you still haven't found a hub the grant #3196 will work. thats the one i used on my 2000.
