I have been smoking in my car for the past 2 - 2 1/1 years. I father will be helping me move back to Minnesota so he will be riding back with me. He used to smoke but I don't want to kill him with all of the smoke. Is there a good way to get rid of it? i already bought febreeze for the car, and a bunch of air fresheners. I'm almost 100% sure that I will be unable to get it completely out. But low 90's to high 90%tile would be good enough for me and hopefully for him. What else can I do?

Use carpet cleaner on everything.
rent a carpet cleaner..the previous owner of my car smoked a lot in the vehicle and I used a carpet cleaner on everything that i could.... seats/headliner (i was amazed and disgusted when I saw the difference in color in the headliner).. also its amazing what leaving your windows open during a windy day... spring/winter may not be the best time to do that though haha..... my final attach on the smell was placing open bags of coffee grounds in the car (coffee grounds absorb smells)... then went got a 4 pack of "new car smell" air freshners.... cut them up and threw peices everywhere.... (under mats, under seats, in the trunk)..... now the only time you can sort of smell something is if it sits in the sun for awhile... but I figure that will eventually go away
As above, and liberally apply baking soda carpet cleaner (then vacuum up, obviously).
