ok i feel like an idiot for asking this but what the hell is everyone talking about glassing? and how do you do it? i see all these bad ass dashes and wanna do mine but have no clue how or what to use. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

glassing refers to fibreglassing, which involves using tiny ass shreds of glass and a special hardener called fiberglass resin or jelly.

I suggest reading it all thoroughly if you don't know anything about it. It's not especially hard, but it just takes a little practice.

start on something small like glassing a piece of pvc tube to something. the dash is pretty hard to do and i wouldnt recommened it unless you've done some stuff before.

Does a fender and rear quarter panel count?


(I know, but it was just so I could certify the car on the cheap... And that car's been long-gone anyways...)

make a speaker box to learn... it takes time so if you dont have patince dont try cuz youll get pissed, and bondo will turn in to your new best friend

it shouldnt. bondo is crap. get body filler (a good brand not bondo) and apply a thin coat to fill in any low spots. 99% of it will be sanded off anyway.
