Ok I've searched around and there's lots of info on all other set up's other then 3 points.
My questions is who has this set up and if you do can i see some pics. I understand they bolt up to the rear seat but does it require drilling new holes or just removing all the factory belts and bolting the 3 point in it's place.
My second question is, is it possible to use the "stiffening bar" from RD FABS with a 3 point harness? I know a 4 point will work with this but i'm interested in a 3 point more for safety.
Pro's, Con's and Pictures would be great.
Thanks guys
Chris
I hae a 3 point harness but im still not sure how to install it... for the saftery reasons... let me kno if u come up wiht something.. ill be keeping an eye on this post
And a Link
There, 1 minute on Yahoo and pictures on correct installation.
If you mount shoulder belts the in the 90 degree position(to the floor) you can compress your spine if your in an accident.

Like i told you in the PM i sent back to you. Our harness bar is listed as a stiffening brace ( b-pillar) and not a harness bar due to safety issues. This is why we make these so your stock seat belts can still be use with the vehicle. If you get into an roll over accident with a 4pt or 3pt harness its still going to hold you down into your seat not allowing side to side movement possibly being pinned down when the roof of the vehicle crushes down. This is why you should only be using a harness if you have a roll bar built into your car as well to prevent the roof crushing down on you.
You can add those harnesses 3 pt or 4 pt at your own leisure, but we don't want to know anything about it nor shall we be liable for misuse of the products intended use.
pics with 4 pt
Yeah thats what everyone seems to be sayin is the incase of a roll over. Is that Phewes car?
But with a 3 point where the single end that is suppost to attach to either the rear seat belt or the bar like in my question. Yes i know you'd have to order it with a clip instead of a bolt BUT..... wouldn't the single strap of the harness that clips to the bar slide around on that bracket alot or even the 4 point with both clips for that matter? Just looks like it would be alittle sloppy and lose....??
I donno. Just need some input from these guys that do have your bar and harness's
Thanks for the info Cody
You could bolt it to the bar and have the bolt go all the way through the bar or just mount it in your back seat belt bolts. I've never used a 3pt before so i know they make a y shape but i don't know how adjustable they are.
Yes that is phewes car, here is 2 better pics for you.
Thanks Cody
Yeah i've never seen a 3 point set up either just 4 point belts.
Anyone else have any input or pics of their set up's?
i have a three point on the drivers seat, and yes, i just ran it to the rear buckle locations.

3 point just bolts up to where the back seat lap belts are. just yank you bottom rear seat out and you will see the two bolts that youd attach each harness too.
Once you bolt the harness in can you still put the rear bottom half of the seat in. Just wondering with the angle of the belt.
Thanks for the input guys

yes you can keep the seat in without any issues, right where the belts are at now your seat has a little indentation where they pop up at. ya just lose most of your backseat do to the belts being there.

Is it safe to bolt the belts in that way?
Okay so how do I order one of the RDFABS website? It actually won't allow me to get anywhere?
Thanks!
