Sup fellas?, just wondering if its possible to swap my gauges out of my 99 cavalier manual tranny, to gauges with a rpm reading. wondering if z24 gauges would work and what i would have to do. I appreciate the help

This is the easiest swap you can do. It's been pretty much accepted that 99 will only swap with 99 because of the digital odometer, but no one has actually tested the theory to my knowledge. Look in the library for the theftlock relearn procedure, but yes, you can just swap in a cluster with the tach. 95-99 Cavalier gauges with tach for a manual are among the hardest to come by, though. Just search eBay, call salvage yards, etc. Watch out for salvage yards, though. Some of them get well over $100 for a used cluster. If you don't check around, you could end up overpaying.

its best if your car is a 95-99 to swap with the same year. as mentioned above, if your odometer is digital, the milage will be off since 95-99 is stored in the cluster and not bcm like the 00+
