Hello everyone. I've actually been a member and owner of a 99 z24 for 8 years. I had my old pioneer head unit taken out and had the morons at circuit city install my new panasonic because i didn't want to deal with the install again. My damn head unit keeps turning off so i tap the dash to the left of the head unit (near right knee) because sometimes it turns back on. I got in my car this morning and dash around it is lifting up and is not adhering down. Is a clip broken? how is it adhered down? How do i fix this? I know it's a stupid question but it bothers the hell out of me when I look at now. Help please!
the bezel is screwed in a few places. So is the metra or dash kit that holds your radio.
you can take apart the dash and see what they screwed up or just take it back.
it uses small tabs to hold it to the dash. not sure why it'd be lifting like that.
it could of broken one of the tabs.
Sounds like you may need to rewire your head.
I never let anyone install my sound equipment anymore.

sounds like a clip may either be broken or possibly just not inserted into the slot its supposed to mate with.
ive had tabs bend and miss the slots before.....unfortunately in most cases it ended up making them break offf
Thanks guys, if it is broken off how do i make it stay back down??? I have a bad feeling it is broken because its so effen cold in Chicago it probably was froze and popped. I love my car and have had if forever but i don't want to buy a new bezel.. Ideas? Or do i just say that my dash was like this ever since you guys installed the headunit?
id go back and bitch about it personally. worst case you get nothing out of it.....best case you get free @!#$ or discount...something
Well lets say i get nothing. Do F*ckin use adhesive?? I can't have it stay like this car has enough issues and the one thig i love is through all the bs i still have a great stereo system and i want that to stay clean looking
if its that bad, just pony up and buy a new bezel. prolly $20 from a junk yard

You could certainly use adhesive but if you plan on fixing the head unit later on, it'll be fun getting the bezel off with adhesive behind it. Just go to the junkyard with a 7mm nut driver and a phillips screwdriver and pull one like yours. Mine was $15 so they're not expensive.
Go to Pick your part yard. give guy 5 bucks. walk out with new bezel.
