If anyone has their laptop mounted in their car would you mind sharing your pictures of how you did it? I have seen some out there but don't like the idea of drilling into the floor of my car. there has to be a better way. that for any help.

make a bracket to come right off the stock seat studs. or in the case of aftermarket seats like me. right off your seat bracket. you can even rig up a quick disconnect not that hard. all you need to hold the laptop is a form of platform, or 2 bars or whatever to hold the computer, and i have always seen velcro straps to hold the computer to it.

I think I saw something like that on ebay,
it had 3 legs, two mounted to the seat bolts, and the other one ran up to where the pass, feet are, it does not make the seat unusable at all, I might try to find it again and post it later

the idea about mounting it to the seat bolts sounds promising. as for the "velcro" i was thinking you could use the stuff they use for cable ties that has the hooks on one side and the loops on the other. now we need a way to be able to swing the laptop out of the way and be able to lock it in place.

ram mounts, that is the one I was thinking about, I was looking for a camera mount and I came across them, just could not remember what it was. still have to put a hole somewhere, but I am sure if you thought hard enough, you could mount the front one on something inside the car, then, no hole going outside the car or into the carpet
