Well I have had this problem since I bought the car 2 years ago now. When going down the highway or hitting bumps the dash shakes noticeably. I have taken it apart and reinstalled it, still does it. I have seen this on other cavaliers too. What is the cause and how to fix it?

welcome to the cavalier. its going to happen and happen mor. the best thing you can do is try stuffing stuff in the dash thats what i did but it still shakes
Thats gay. Maybe when I get time It would be possilbe to re-inforce the frame supporting the dash.

you could that that as well but it will take alot of time to do that. have you check if your wheels are balanced that helps on the vibration to. just a thought but what ever you do good luck. i know how you feel. just turn the music up.
^I do that a lot! Also wheels are balanced, everything is aligned, such and such. But yeah I will start stuffing the dash full of stuff to make it stop rattling at least.

If you put the stick on sound deading stuff on everything you will love it. Just not over the air bag.
