Probably some random freak occurance that will fix itself... as long as there are no problems, then no worries.

I would, however, give yourself 10 minutes extra or so whenever you go somewhere in case the theft protection does decide to kick on.

Check the ground wire from the battery to the battery tray. On the 96 sedan I just bought, that ground connecting grommet was slightly rusted, and was causing a similar problem with all the cluster lights. It may have pulled loose in the bump.

If a huge bump in the road made it come on...... maybee if you drive over a huge dip in the road it will go off again

I know.... I'm being completely useless.... but I couldn't resist.

Something almost had to come loose..... find out what parts of the car are wired through the teft system and go from there.....

I don't know much about it.... but I'm pretty sure the ignition switch is one of them.

Check the wires going to your ignition cylinder. These wires are a small gauge wire and often have issues. Just make sure they are attached and intact. If that doesn't fix it go to the dealer.

if your certain its not an issue, unplug the battery for thirty minutes. my dads colorado did something like that, so he just unplugged it and reset it. worked well enough
