dont know if this should be in this forum or audio/electronics, but i have a 98 cav and some one tried to steal it so they smashed something(screw driver im assuming) in to the ignition key hole.
what im wondering is can ignition cylinder be changed out with out changing the whole steering column?

Yes you can buy just the lock cylinder, but the steering collar must be removed in order to change it.

is that hard to do, any pics for reference purposes. i have no idea what the steering collar is lol
