I searched a bit but only got that people are changing the bulbs to LED.
basically, i want to have it light up red. i retreived a sunfire hvac cover from a junkyard.
i wanted to know if that's all i need to change the color to red or if i need to swap out the bulbs to led.
i'm doing a couple interior things at once so i'd appreciate any help so i don't have to take the dash apart too many times.

the face will light up red but not the knobs. if you want those to light up red as well, you gotta go with the LEDs.
