what is the best paint and easiest way to paint my interior dash and how hard is it to hook up those pillar gauges
Honestly, not to stray off topic, but if you care about the resale value of your vehicle, do not paint the interior of your car. If you don't plan on getting rid of it? Fine.
Easiest way to paint, get some sand paper, smooth it down, paint, let dry, paint again, let dry, paint again, let dry, clearcoat, let dry, clearcoat again, let dry.

You forgot the primer parts...
Its sanding first, starting with 60, then 150, 220, 320, 400, then prime, then sand with 400, then prime again, then sand with 1000, then paint, then sand with 1500, then paint, then clear coat 2-3 coats...
Prep work is the MOST important part, if you did a good job preping, then your paint job will look nice...

IMO, if you are just gonna do PARTS of your interior, like only the dash, or some trim, then i would say dont bother, because its not gonna look good with just SOME of the parts painted... It will look worse IMO..
BUT If you paint EVERYTHING, everything like the dash, lower dash (including the glove box and center console and armrest), both door panels, all the pillars, back quarter panels, door step panel... (i think i named everything), then its gonna look good. Do the carpets too while you are at it... oh and the back dash...
And dont forget to buy racing seats to match your interior colors too!

Is the paint the same process with the vinyl parts ... Like the glove compartment and top dash cover??

Hmm instead of start with 60, start with 150 lightly with your HAND, please dont just use the auto-sander first time cuz its gonna sand thru and rip thru the vinyl and it will be @!#$...
When i do my dash, i start with 60 with my hand and try get some texture off, then use the 150 with auto-sander CAREFULLY, then i prime, then i sand with 150, then i prime again, then i sand with 150 again, and i keep doing this until it look smoother and the texture is almost all gone, then i move up on the grid size, then eventually when you prime it enough times, it keeps building up and up and it will fill in all the texture and it will look smooth... EASY but takes FOREVER!!!

for vinyl i used a scuff pad and this auto stuff called "scuff it" its a orange bottle with a black top. you wet the surface of what your sanding, wet the scuff pad,add a few drops of scuff it on the scuff pad and then have at it. it just helps get into the dips and cracks in the vinyl. and as far as paint. like everybody else said above. if you dont plan on doing the entire interior to match then i wouldnt bother. single stage car paint works good too. good luck man.
I NEED a 97-99 LD9 engine harness for an auto.PM if u hav info.!!
