Grounding

Ok I just installed some cold cathode tubes on the interior of my car, but i was looking around and could not find a good bolt to ground everything on. Does anyone know a good bolt to use that will keep the wires hidden?

would help if you told us what car, where you installed them and maybe some other info, theres tons of bolts under your dash and under your carpet to ground too....

any piece of metal with a bolt in it, literally. there is a giant metal framework under the dash, find a bolt, loosen it, slip o ring on bolt and put back in.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

haha, it's a 2004 cavalier sedan. I found a good spot though, and it all works so thanks guys. It was some bolt to the right of where the sterring column goes through the firewall, i hope that is an ok location...i'll post a picture later to make sure.

Don't see any reason why that bolt won't work as long as your feet don't kick it.

i dont have cold cathodes, I DID but I sold em'

I just gor LED's and rigged up a terminal box and used the stock cig lighter near the floor.

(gonna eventuially make it solid, [wire to wire] instead of using a CIG adapter)

Pics avalible if anyones interested.

Anyhow, Yes, ANY bolt would work.

Just be careful of loose wires and hitting the unit with your foot (or anything)

you dont need to use a stock bolt. get a new bolt. sand a piece on the body of the car that will be hidden. insert new bolt and ground to that. u can put a ground anywhere you want. no need to run 15' of wire just to find a stock bolt.
