a pillar gauges write up
Wednesday, January 17, 2007 10:12 PM
I just bought the glowshift a-pillar triple pod. I've done my searching and couldnt find a clear answer on how to hook up all the gauges. I got the air/fuel, oil pressure and manifold pressure gauges. If anyone has done a write up I was unable to find or anything like that could you give me some help. The only shop in my area that will do it want 75 bucks an hour. Not a chance in hell. Thanks for anything

All I can help with is the input on the A/F gauge (if you had a 2.2, I could have helped a bit more w/ the oil pressure sender location)...

The purple wire on the front oxygen sensor is the one that you will need to use.

As for power/ground for the gauges, check here:

dude ---- x=5 the math for those who care,

using pythagron's theorm of a^2 + b^2 = c^2
let take known values:
a=4
b=3
c=?

4^2 + 3^2 = c^2 or 16 + 9 = 25

square root 25 so [X=5]

sorry i didn't really know an answer to your question so i thought that i would answer your sig.

thats a perfect right triangle, when one side is 3 and another is 4 the last will always be 5 this works for all the multiples there of. 15,20,25 ect. but why the hell did you buy a narrow band a/f gauge???? and didnt it come with instructions????

excellent job. next week we learn about acute and obtuse triangles. jk, here's the real question though, what degrees are the other two angles in that triangle? it did make me laugh. and thanks for the help, now is it the oxygen sensor coming off my intake or the one coming out of my exhaust manifold because the instructions told me to attach it to the upstream o2 sensor. and i bought the air/fuel because i guess i just wanted to. none of the other options appealed to me. keep the answers coming i appreciate it

For a couple seconds I didn't get the joke and I was staring at the picture trying to find out what finding "X" had to do with wiring up the gauges, LOL

This one is the one you need to use:

Quote:

one coming out of my exhaust manifold

upstream = closest to engine
downstream = farthest from engine

btw just to keep it going the angles in a perfect right triangle are ALWAYS 30, 60 and 90 deg. lmao and just putting this out there, a narrow band a/f gauge wont give you a realistic reading, you need wideband for that

wow i must have inhaled a few too many fumes i just got the actual joke, it said find x and he literally found it.......... the location that is........ roflmfao.......... wow i feel dumb.
