dying my dash, having problems!!

ok, so im in the process of dying my dash black. i cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and then let it dry. when i started spraying the dye most of it is turning out great, but i have several areas are not turning out they way it should. like the dye is not setting in...

any ideas? should i try cleaning the areas better? can i just clean it as is or do i need to remove some of the dye??
thank you for all of the help!!!!!

probably still some remnants of jesus juice there. lol i'd clean the piece again sanding if need be (but be careful if you do sand it) and then respray it.

alright, thats what im in the process of doing.... once i get more rubby alchy. i think my prob (i HOPE) is i thought i found a new bottom of what i thought was rubbing alcohol, but after i awhiled i smelled my empty one and the new one and the new one didnt have the same smell. so i think i "finished" cleaning it off with something other than Rubbin ALC. oh well.... all in the fun (sarcasm!!)

small update in attempts to cheer me up... i finished my driver side door panel!!!!! super happy with it. its not PERFECT, but close enough for me for right now. now i just need to finish dying a few pieces and then pull the big dash part out, sand it bajesus out of it and paint it. not to mention work my new front bumper......in no hurry...

thanks guys!!
