i tried to paint my climate control knobs and ran into a fair bit of problems i always use duplicolor so its a good brand of paint in n e case what i did was clean and prime them. then once the primer dried used a chrome colored paint. after that i then clear coated it. once it all dried it was hard and good so i put them back on. after a couple of days tho they became very VERY sticky and then the paint started to stick and come off on my hands. in n e ideas how i can paint them so the paint actually dries properly?

this may be a dumb question but did you take the rubber coating off of the knobs?
