Hey guys,
I just recieved my Autometer Cobalt Series gauges (D-pic, Voltmeter, and A/F ratio) and triple gauge pod and was wondering if anyone had any experience tips before I start tackling installing these. Gracias.

just try to run all the wires threw the boot thats already in the firewall.
fuse box, and it gives you a place to keep your old fuse and for your new instraments to be fused aswell. Then just crimp and go... works like a champ.
I would advise against the fuse box idea... mine had a little fire last night and every wire I ran to the fuse box was fried... Everything else is ok, just fried my other wires. I don't know if there was a short, or too much power being pulled or whatever. But the fuses didn't blow.. confused the hell out of me. Just make sure you get everything wired correctly to avoid fires, shorts... etc.
Yeah a couple buddies helped set up the fuse box idea, but I learned that going "halfsies" on wiring is not the way to go from previous experiences. I just pulled the fuse box set up that I had because I was worried about short out fires, and Hor, you helped me make that decision. I guess Im gonna half to go get out the soldering gun. Thanks guys.

Where are you tapping into to fuse? I am getting ready to install my Autmeter gauges as well, but confused on where I should tap in and fuse at. I was going to fuse in teh box, but reading above, sounds like a bad idea. Where would be teh next place to go?
Nity9: Did you connect to the fuses from their wires behind the box as opposed to directly to the fuse? That was what my set up was but I changed my mind and am going to be directly soldering into wire lines with an additional inline fuse for protection instead of the box fuses.
Evans: I had it wired to the ground and then tied right to the plug in fuses, but that will not work for very long. When I figure it out, I'll definately let you know, or if anyone else has examples of their wiring schemes, that'd rock. By the way, which gauges did you get man?

soldering and putting an inline fuse is the best way to go... then when something goes out its easy to know which fuse to replace. And unless you get a distribution block or something i recomend putting some tape with a label on the wires. I have so many i have no idea which is which any more

Anyone one got any pics of there wiring?
I got all the 18 gauge wire and running out now to get fuses, lugs, and connecters.
Hoping to get a better idea on how to make this as clean as possbile.
This is the first time I ever installed gauges <-- I know, Noob
