I've read many and many post about f/g on plastic. my first project is just something to mess around with and its the part that opens and closes on the center console. and i was just wondering if this is enough holes or if i need more.

Should be good. Basically the holes just allow the resin to seep through and adhere to itself, since it doesn't stick to plastic.

and for some extra bondage, when the resin runs through the holes, put ya some glass mat or cloth on the back side for extra strength.

I'm just fiber glassing to make it look smooth. when i started to tear the vinyl off i was like sweet its already smooth but then i seen pin holes and holes where the staples were holding the vinyl on.

I have a few small holes on one of my pieces and I asked a few days ago how many layers would be necessary to fill them in. I was recommended atleast 3 layers. Plus, the console lid is small, so extra layers won't take much time. I'm sure other will come in here and agree.

with something like that all you really needed to do was sand where th staples were because likely they were a bit bumpy, then add some filler to the holes. then a layer of fiberglass and resin to the underside and then just sande the filler holes down. really was no need to make all those holes and fiberglass the entire thing. but i guess youlle get good practice on this.
