someone please confirm this for me?

i've got a set of apc seats i pick up friday, with sliders. instead of installing on my own and f'ing up, i'm gonna let a shop do it. the shop i called said i don't need custom brackets made, that the sliders will fit the factory brackets.

can anyone +/- this for me?

thanks

You can make anything work. Just make sure they don't rape you with fabrication charges.

bagged, you think they will fit without brackets being made?

kinetik: the charge for install and brackets being made is 75/seat...nothing to compare it too, so unsure

just make sure that your seats dont sit to high if you do put them on your stock brackets

i think i'll let them deal with it, but if i use stock, how is the height easily fixed?

depends on the brackets, as there are more than one type under the seats;

here is how i mounted them to the stock sliders at first

then i added this (it is not just bolted on with those little bs bolts, the entire thing is welded together very well);

did that by shaving the "feet" off of the brackets;

this is the difference in height, harder to see since it was taken at an angle but the passenger seat is on just the stock sliders and bracketry, driver's side is on the modified stock;

some will not like it but it was perfect to me, still somewhat of an angle up towards the front, just enough for you to tuck right into them, i miss those seats

and once the passenger side was done i painted the whole thing black to let it blend into the carpet. i typed up an entire how to on where i started and where i ended up but it was just too large for me to post and i can't host it either. if anyone wants it just ask

forgot to add, too high is going to be a matter of personnal opinion, i thought stock brackets were too high for me and it was uncomfortable to drive so i changed it some more

i've opted to let them do it, lack of tools and time are a good decision maker
