can anyone tell me step by step for an 04 cavalier how to put in my cf door inserts...and my cf dimmer switch overlay in the dash....please.....

You probably need to take off the door panels to get the inserts in. The FAQ at the top of the Interior forum gives a nice step by step on how to do this. There are screws all the way around the door and two in the "pocket" by the door handle, all these need to come out. Your window crank (if you have one) needs to come out too. A lot more detailed instructions in the FAQ.
For the dimmer switch, you will have to take the dash pad off and the bezel around the radio/HVAC/gauge cluster. The steps to do this are also in the FAQ.
Neither of these things are hard to do, just a ratchet and some sockets and you're done.

o sorry and will i take the chance of screwing up any wires or anything in the dash when i do this and the doors i have power windows will i have to watch the windows that they might fall or anything like that...thank you again...i know it might sound stupid to some people but i just want to know what to expect and how careful i really need to be ...first time doing this...thank you

With what you have to take off there is no way to mess up any wires... unless you take a pair of wire cutters to them... I'm not sure what size they are, but if you take your car to where ever you're gonna the tools you can test fit them. Also, doing these installs you should only be working for a couple hours (if you take your time). As far as the windows, there is no way for them to fall out. Don't worry about that, just jump in you'll figure it out as you go. It's really not that hard.

i would ask in the GP were yo got them i didnt get the inserts myself, but for the gauge overlay you have to open your dash to get the cluster out.
Not at all. The dash pad just covers the airbag. You don't have anything to worry about... unless you can't get the bezel off enough to put the dimmer panel in... then you might need to remove the steering wheel...

ok well i guess i got really lucky here......before i asked for help i attempted to do the dimmer panel overlay by myself....and i pushed it into the dash and it gave me enough room to put it on ...than my problem was bringing it forward again...well this morning i was able to use two little clips and put it on the inner side of the switches the dimmer switch itself and pull forward and omg it actually worked...so it looks beautiful and i didn't have to remove the dash ...and everything works fine...!!!!! yeah.....i'm so happy because i was really really worried about removing the dash for one little overlay....but yippeeee.....i guess for once being adventurous worked out in my favor....
thanks again...now i'm going to attempt the doors tomorrow....

Now, i don't think the doors you'll get that easy.... but you never know. May just have to go to you now to get shortcuts, and easy ways of getting stiuff done.... !!!

hey buzz...i know i got really lucky i guess.....lol
but with everything you gave me i'm going to do my doors this weekend and i know i'll have to take those apart...lol....and yes i'm going to post pics up by monday after i'm done getting everything in.....i thank you so much as i said in the gp forum you are the best with helping and explaining things to a person that knows nothing about taking cars apart.....
